JAKOB KOLNESS is a graduate of Film Studies from Minnesota State University Moorhead, a self-published author of fiction, film blogger and reviewer. Born and raised in Minnesota, he moved to Los Angeles in 2017 and returned to Minnesota in 2019, where he currently resides. He has been a member of the online film community for almost two decades including reviewing films online with Kendall Christianson under the YouTube channel The Mother Flickers, being a regular guest on Ryan Stacy’s podcast How To Survive a Horror Movie, and contributing articles to film sites such as NextBestPicture.com. He has also directed two short films “The Christmas Party” and “Up and Comer”.

He is also a member of the Minnesota Film Critics Association.
